Affiliate Disclosure

Transparency matters. Here is how YenMate makes money and how it affects (and does not affect) our recommendations.

How YenMate makes money

YenMate does not charge for guides, tools, or calculators. To keep the site running, we earn revenue through:

  • Affiliate links: When you sign up for a financial product (brokerage account, insurance, etc.) through a link on our site, we may earn a referral commission from the provider. This costs you nothing extra.
  • Display advertising: We show ads via Google AdSense on some pages. These ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content.

Our affiliate partnerships

We currently have (or plan to have) affiliate relationships with:

  • Securities brokers (SBI Securities, Rakuten Securities, Monex, etc.)
  • Insurance providers and comparison services
  • Banking and remittance services (Wise, Revolut, etc.)
  • Property and mortgage services
  • Tax filing assistance services

Affiliate links are always marked with a disclosure note on the page where they appear.

Our editorial promise

  • We never recommend a worse product for a higher commission. Our recommendations are based on genuine quality, features, and suitability for foreigners in Japan.
  • Affiliate status does not influence rankings or ratings. Products are evaluated on their merits, regardless of whether we have an affiliate relationship.
  • We include non-affiliate products when they are the best option. If a product without an affiliate program is the best choice, we still recommend it.
  • All affiliate links are clearly disclosed. You will always know when a link is an affiliate link.
